Revlon Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer

***This is not a paid review, the items in this post were purchased by me at full retail price***

I struggle with frizzy hair whether I blow it dry or air dry. It frizzes like crazy and with all of my postpartum regrowth being at the length it is, the frizz is even worse than usual. It is also very flat and lacking body and the longer it gets, the more it gets weighed down. To combat the frizz I've been using a heat protectant before blow drying followed by a flat iron to add some body and calm the frizz, but I'm seeing some damage occurring to the ends of my hair which has started taking place since using the flat iron so I began looking into other options.

An all in one styling tool was appealing for the the ease of use and fast styling time. The Dyson Airwrap kept popping up in my searches with amazing reviews, but it costs more than I just paid for my dishwasher. Seriously. I may have gotten an amazing deal on my dishwasher, but still.

Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer

The Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer was the next one I kept seeing and was awarded with the 2019 Best Best Of Beauty Award by Allure. At $56.99 it was also a MUCH better price for my wallet.

The first time I used it, I honestly thought I was going to return it because while my hair was super soft and frizz free, I felt like it was incredibly flat and lacking any body, but I decided to give it another chance and I'm so glad I did!

With just a couple of changes in how I dried my hair with it, there is so much more movement and body while remaining incredibly soft and frizz free.

If you're looking to add volume, be sure to hold it at your roots for a few seconds and if you have hair like mine, you may want to try a volumizing/texturizing powder or spray like ORIBE Dry Texturizing Spray

Prior to drying I used SGX NYC Blaze Leave-In Heat Protection Lotion + Primer but I wanted to see how much body and lift I could achieve with just the styling tool so I didn't use any products to add volume or texture this time around so the slight lift at my part is all from the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer.

It definitely cut down the time I spent drying and styling my hair and I love the smooth results so I'll be keeping it!

The Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer is available at Target for $56.99 or Amazon for $56.89 (while it's 5% off) and is Prime eligible.

SGX NYC Blaze Leave-In Heat Protection Lotion + Primer is available at Target for $6.99 and is free from sulfates, phthalates, parabens and more.
